The ABC and 123 book is so cute. What sources did you use? I am doing something similar with the ABCs with my son each week as we talk about the letter we are making a book with pictures that start with that letter from old flashcard sets I had. Some letters have more than others. He gets excited about making each page.
Almost all the templates came from http://www.homeschoolshare.com/alphabet_notebook.php
They did not have some letter templates so I just used Word for those. We covered each letter in some sort of material like velcro, glitter, fabric, sandpaper, yarn etc. My daughter just loves this book and looks through it all the time. My goal is to hopfully keep it nice enough that once she is done with it I can package it up and save it for her when she gets married and has a baby. We'll see. That could be just a pipedream!
WARNING: This project takes a lot of paper and a lot of color ink. You could print some out in balck and white and have your child color it. We did that on some of the pages when we ran out of color. However, it was worth all the cutting, printing, pasteing and time. Great fun learning tool!
